The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Starfish” is an August 2021 release of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe in low-top form that pays tribute to a now-classic colorway. The “Starfish,” despite its nickname, gives a nod toward the Air Jordan 1’s popular “Shattered Backboard,” specifically the “Reverse Shattered Backboard” Jordan 1 from 2016, with its black, white, and orange color scheme. Also, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is a near one-to-one remake of the original version of the low-top basketball shoe from 1985. As for the “Starfish,” white leather appears on the perforated toe and mid-panel. Contrasting Starfish-colored leather is found on the overlaid panels. A black leather Swoosh appears on both sides. The placement of the black “Wings” logo on the heel is a true-to-original design element of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Black laces contrast the white nylon tongue and the Starfish tongue tag with white “Nike Air” branding.
